Here's the view from my place at about noon on March 13, 2010. Winds are about 40 mph with gusts to about 55-60. Some of the waves were on the boardwalk at Beach 99th Street in Rockaway Park. It's pretty impressive but we're going to lose more beach, right before the summer! If I had more than 2 months experience surfing I would go out- but I don't, so I won't, since I don't want to die.
