My custom cruiser creation scootin' around - fresh build on a Dyno Cruiser frame with the Crystalyte 5304 Phoenix Cruiser Electric Hub. 72 Volts: six 12 amp hour sealed lead acid batteries wired in series. Goes 38.5 mph without pedaling. Dusts gasoline weed whack bikes like nothing. This thing is crazy-fast, and smooth.

This is a test showing the speed obtained with no resistance and holding the wheel in the air. My batteries weigh around 90lbs and are 6 18AH 12V SLA's. I can go 28-30 mph for 30 miles by keeping the amps at or below 15AH by looking at the auto ampmeter gauge.
This is my electric bicycle. It's been a few months in the making. I'm using a crystalyte 5303 hub motor with a 72v 40a controller. Powered by 80v of lithium batteries. It's good for about 40 mph.

In this video I arrive at the stop sign and behind me is this large motorcycle. There is no traffic and we both go at the same time. He doesn't appear in the video until I slow down to make my street. He was probably wondering how I was going so fast on a bicycle with no apparent motor! Top speed obtained was 41mph.
