Spent the afternoon at this surprisingly
wonderful place at the Museum of Natural Science. Exhibit includes butterflies, beetles, some scorpions, spiders, millipedes, walking sticks, ants, termites, bees, roaches (yikes!). Lots of interesting stuff to learn. There is also a vending machine that serves larvae and crickets as snacks!
during my trip to beijing in summer 2008, i went to the great wall. i was totally and completely grossed out by all of the millipedes i saw. i'm not sure if it was humanly possible to be even more grossed out, but i was when my sister decided to hang out with one up close and personal.
