Ride of Silence. Memorial Ride for hit and/or killed cyclists. Ride through downtown SLC to raise cycling safety awareness among motorists, police, and city officials. This is a free ride that asks cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph and remain silent during the ride.
On Wed May 21st 2008 over 160 cyclists show up for the Ride of Silence in Des Moines Iowa.
The Ride of Silence is to HONOR and pay responct to those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.
