Neighbors gathered in Malcolm X Park in West Philadelphia for Family Fun Day to enjoy free food and fantastic performances by two drill teams, Eastwick Commandoes and Command Performance. We had great attendance, despite the steadily worsening weather!

Two Malcolm X Park neighbors brought out their gas powered radio controlled cars for a couple of laps around the park. Despite spectacular cartwheeling crashes, they keep on running!

A group of citizens patrol the 12th Police District on bicycles. They help keep crime under control and they need your help!

Everyone came out of their houses to parade up and down 52nd Street in West Philadelphia to celebrate Obama's victory in the 2008 Presidential Election. The celebrations lasted well into the night. http://www.malcolmxp ark.org

A bunch of volunteers gathered in Malcolm X Park on October 27th, 2007 to plant neighborhood street trees. It was pouring rain, but clad in colorful rain-gear, they were undaunted. Thanks tree planters!
